Did you know that the access to the river on the Bennett Rd side is private property? Yep, and the owner has let paddlers and anglers use it for years but is getting a bit frustrated at all the people using the area as a bathroom. So, the RLHT being the good stewards they are have worked out a deal to put an outhouse there and is seeking help funding the cost. I am hoping FFIM members can come up with $500 to help cover costs. I’m going to start with the first $50. I used RLHT.org and put it towards the general operations fund with a note to fund the Bennett Bridge outhouse. I’m sure you can mail a check too.

Thanks Ken! Mark and I match your $50! Also, RLHT just got a $50 commitment from Enriched Learning Center (ELC (Rafting Company)) to support this project too! Note, that any funds in excess of the current need will be moved into next year's outhouse fund.

Next time your at the Mag, be sure to stop in or wave to the abutting landowners to ensure them how much we appreciate their generosity and stewardship!

Tight lines!

Shelby

Ken and Shelby,

On behalf of the FFIM community, the BOD voted to contribute the balance from the Grassroots Grants fund. Please be in touch with Maura about getting a check.

Cheers,
Dan

Thanks TG, Ron and Emily and of course FFIM!

Ken (who has no affiliation with the RLHT other than loving the fact that they have preserved over 10000 acres of an area that I love and want to make sure we don’t love to death). And not to mention the ecoventure kids camp and developing strong landowner partnerships!
