Looking for a anchor for my 16' foot drifter
Preferably a lead 20 pounder (like I understand Mike used to make?) I have found that they hold the best but I'm open to suggestions.

Get as many 10# 'disc' weights from Wal-Mart or Olympia Sports to make the poundage you want. Insert an 'eye-bolt' from the hardware store; use large washers and nylon locknuts, and Presto. It's what works all over Maine.

Hint: Do not lock the lock nuts and washers very tight to the weights, it is better if each weight and washer can spin indepentently.

Thanks for the tip Anchor man..
A friend was able to make me a fine lead pyramid anchor which is working great :!:
I will keep your suggestion in mind and keep my eyes out for some free weights for sale. And will make up another.
