I know a few folks that went. They said the country is really 3rd world and not very well put together for a quality fishing trip yet. The locals have also apparently netted a lot of the fish for food historically- which has had an impact (think about the last time you heard of someone going to Jamaica to bonefish- similar situation). With that said- I may do a trip to Cuba in the next few years just for the experience.

Thanks for replying. I was in Jamaica on Va-ca once. I didn't think there were any flats. Mostly deep water, but you are right. Heavily fished for food. They talk a big game on line though.
