I have heard of fish being caught in the Saco, any reports of fish being caught anywhere else? I'm ready to get out.

I'm in Freeport - and have yet to connect this season. I did move one this morning, so I'm hoping I'm close!

This morning I took another swing at it. Hooked up twice - and lost them very quickly. Still, fun to see and feel the action. They are out there and I will get them!!

Took another swing yesterday. A friend got some, but I'm still w/o any fish. He had the hot fly and I didn't have anything close to it. Sorta gray in color with lots of flash and big eyes. I'll keep at it - and hopefully my time will be rewarded. I should add, he got two on the fly. He had his spin and got a couple more.

A Facebook post this morning says the St. George has been full of fish in recent days. I suspect that means everything to the south and west does too.

I still remember in the mid 90's when folks out on Matinicus were taking them in Matinicus harbor. Would love to see that again!
