It's September, got thinking about stripers and went to the forum to see if anyone has been doing anything and there is a definite paucity of postings!! The only stripers I have caught in the past couple of years have been on the Mirimichi while salmon fishing. Haven't even bothered to go around here but could be tempted. At this point if I have to travel 2 hours I would rather go to the EO and freshwater fish. At least I know there are fish there! Is it worth a trip to Reid or Popham?

Found some fish at Reid in mid-June. Didn't feel like taking out the boat with the fog and iffy weather on Saturday August 31st so drove to Reid and fished 5 am to 8:30 am. Nothing happening and I spoke with one of the Park personnel and they indicated that not much was going on for the past few weeks. Haven't tried Popham since getting my night time pass.

Fishing from the boat has been decent this year, not like before 2007 but best since then.
