Yesterday me'n the family were headed in from Great Cranberry and my daughter spotted some birds working across the harbor - I dropped the girls off and headed back out and took advantage of one of the best runs of mackeral I've seen in years - unfortunately I didn't have my fly gear with me but it was still fun to get my rod bent - they're in Southwest Harbor and it wouldn't surprise me if there were some stripers in tow - in fact I got one horse mackeral that made me think I had a schoolie...Tight Lines!
