Will there be Protestant whiskey? If so- I'm in.

Sounds like a good idea to me. I'll make doughnuts.

I'm in. There will be Catholic whiskey for at least me and Mike Holt to go along with the Protestant whiskey. We'll pour a sip in Jim Carter's memory.

How about we do it in September on the Lamar? Craig, Ken and I are all usually there anyway . . . . . .

Seriously, West Branch or Greenville area? Is there a big campground around Greenville? Or how about one of the big group sites in Baxter? (I'd say the Allagash, too, but I think that's too remote.)

Rangeley is too crowded to add a big group at prime time.

I'm in. Maybe some Single Malt. I would lean towards the West Branch but Greenville would also work. As long as Ken will be the MC.

I'm in, I'd love to do Greenville... I'm somewhat ashamed to say I've never been up there.

WTF is Protestant whiskey? There will be good ole Kentucky Bourbon that’s for sure. I like the idea of Baxter. I’m open to anything even The Lamar or perhaps the Pere Marquette?

CFR is usually the first weekend in June so we’d need to work around that. What about a smallmouth float on the Penobscot in early August? We could combine it with the Don Lynch Floatilla? The stinkin Lincoln section used to be very good. Or maybe, just maybe we make this a striper conclave? Would need some boats for that.

Well, when it comes to Whiskey I generally try to carry two bottles. One Jameson (Catholic) and one Bushmills (Protestant) and then to take turns drinking from both- you know - to help bring peace to Ireland.

Anyway, one thing about a Conclave is most people want to fish. From what I remember if we get a good turnout we overwhelm places. One section of river that seemed to accommodate everyone was the West Branch of the Penobscot.

Peace in Ireland? I’m all for it. Willing to make the necessary sacrifice. But what about Scotland? Isn’t there a single malt contingent that needs my support?

Single malt over Irish Whiskey... but lately I've been all about the Kentucky Bourbon, or Rye

I'm willing to go wherever for a conclave... trout, stripers, or even the green things.

What about the Canadians (whiskey, that is)? In lieu of the Lamar, Rangeley or Freeport, I'm game for anywhere north of Bangor ;-).
