This Thursday night (2/13) we are tying the Peeking Caddis, an all-season searching pattern. This pattern is both a realistic and impressionistic pattern of the cased caddis so prevalent In Maine streams.
There are 1200 species of Caddis in North America, a little more double the number of mayflies. As a result caddis larvae, pupae, and adults make up the greater portion of insects in a Trout’s diet here in Maine....and when your want to get to those Trout grubbing around near the bottom of the stream, reach for this Peeking Caddis pattern.
The reservations for a seat at our Tying Tables have been sold out for several weeks; we are FULL. However, we do encourage you to join us for gallery seating where we can accommodate folks who would like to sit in on or participate in our tying discussion.
We start promptly at 7:00pm in the Learning Center on the second floor of our Hunt / Fish Store
