Responding to Maine Angler’s request,

Grouse and Flash, especially in the fall.
Partridge and Orange.
Olive floss with brass rib, peacock heel abdomen and partridge hackle. I stumbled on it, but I’m sure it’s been done before, I just don’t know what to call it. I also tie it with a wire underbody to help it sink.
I don’t mind SHs dead drifting in the film, but I want them under water on the swing.

Cool, thanks. I like a #16-18 olive or red wire body with a few turns of partridge on the collar.
And of course the always popular GSHS

In October, Salvi and I were fishing on the Yellowstone with my son. We found a pod of eaters late in the afternoon. He crushed them with a small soft hackle dead drifted.
