A bunch of us are getting together on Sunday August 25th to float the Andro in Bethel with our good friend Don Lynch. You don’t have to have a drift boat as a canoe or raft work great too! There might be a beer or two consumed, maybe even a fish caught but it will definitely be fun. This is open to anyone even if you do t know Don! Last year we had 5 vessels and we want to double it this year!

Hi all - sorry I haven't updated here. We've had a change of plans at his point and things are on hold; Don can't make it this weekend. To those that have expressed interest; any thoughts on a plan B? Reminder - I'm not around Saturday but, if you want, we could still float Sunday. Folks are welcome to flop at our place in Bethel Saturday night. Either that or pick another date. If you want to trout fish, maybe even as late as first part of October? Olive hatches are pretty fun!?!?

I'm up for anything Craig. I'll throw this out there only because I've become obsessed with the salt.... we've got enough people with boats, we could do a striper day around Portland. Between me, Chri Bean, Ben, and Dan that gives us 4 boats, if they all can make it. Easily enough for 8 to 12 people. I'm definitely still willing to come up to Bethel for a float also, I'll fish with you guys anywhere any day.

Peter

hi guys, I'm so so sorry that I can't make it this year, but health wise it's out of my control. boy I sure hope you can get it going. the salt sounds cool, a time ago I would be hot for it, and Peter I'd have been waiting at the landing, probably have a tent, and be working the tide. hope you have a great time.Chubmaster

Hey Don - hope you're feeling better! We have postponed the outing until mid September; too many of us had moving parts this weekend. We will make a decision as to the location as the date gets closer - thinking both salt and fresh should be fishing better then anyway. In the mean time, take care of yourself and go easy on your bride - that young lady is a national treasure! Question - would it be easier for you to potentially fish from a boat in the salt? Just noodling through the options and the ACA (Androscoggin Chub Association) has asked us to move the event to the coast.

Feel better Don! As Craig said, take good care of yourself and shout if the prospects of another day on the water presents itself.
