Last minute plans to hit Pierce pond this weekend into next week. Has anyone one been in there, wondering if the hatches are happening. Hoping to hit the start of the Hex hatch. Thanks for any info

Timing should be good. Are you staying there? Long ride in for evening fishing.

I stayed at Harrisons camp on Pierce Pond a few years ago. It was about this time of year and fishing was good. In addition, the food at the lodge was good as well. Surprisingly easy to drive there. We tried to stay a Cobb's Camp which is the more well known location, but could not get a reservation and as both fish the same water there was problem. The only difference I noted was that Harrisons required a 10 min walk to water and Cobbs had cabins right on the lake

Yes. You just have to stop at Cobb's gate and let them know you want to launch.

We waited years to get a weekend spot and literally had to wait for a guy to die. We had an early June 3 day reservation for years but finally let it go because it was too early for any significant hatch. We did get Hendricksons one year but for the most part it was still a trolling period. It is IMHO the best camp in Maine. Great people, food, cabins, guides, and great fishing (if the timing is right for your style) and at the time best pricing.

I'd say if you're young and patient call Andy and get on the list, pick a time you prefer and keep at him.

There is , but I think there is a small fee if not staying at Cobbs.

Years ago I tried several times to book a reservation with Cobbs but never heard back. I figured they had more business than they could handle.
