The West Branch was at 10,000 for the entire weekend. I do not recall a memorial day washout there in at least 20+years. Ponds were high but some were producing fish. Everything is at least 2 weeks behind.

This has been the absolute worst spring since I started fishing in the 50’s. It’s almost June, and I haven’t wet a line yet. Most of my “go to” places are running three to even four times a wadeable flow. If this keeps up I may start Pond fishing again.

Granted, I simply can’t wade now like I could thirty years ago....

.but this is freaking ridiculous.

On the plus side of the ledger, my lawn looks fantastic, and my fly boxes are so full I’m not sure I could stuff any more flies into my dry box or my streamer box.

I may start building the $&#@&”$ ark soon.

Dave- There was a great spinner fall last night on a certain river.... Water is a little high, but totally fishable.... If you go over the bridge in Bucksport and down Route 1, it's not a bad ride from Ellsworth....
