You guys probably know all of this, but in my early season anticipation, it was fun to read this article about different rise forms: https://www.flyfisherman.com/editorial/ ... rms/152245

Something I liked about it was the emphasis on observing and watching what was happening. One of my greatest thrills happens without preamble or theme music. Fishing for hours (maybe) and just when you're lulled into a monotony, you notice something happening. Maybe it's what you had imagined on your drive to the river but were disappointed when you first stepped in so you forgot about it. Almost as if it's your imagination, you realize that stuff is going on around you. Sometimes only a few feet from where you're standing! The best! I could wait all day for that.
