Post subject:  Mayflies and rising trout observed

On a small coastal stream, Hendrickson's flitting about and a few wild brook trout rising for them. No trout were caught on dry flies, but two did some to the right sized nymph.

Also broke a favorite old rod--a 7' 4 weight that I think I got for a $100 and have been fishing for 15 years or more. Just looking online at possible replacements, and it appears the 7' to 7'6" rod is a lot scarcer than it used to be.

I was just getting ready to put 2 orvis 7' 4 wts up for sale . Pm me if interested . I also have 2 able 0 right hand retrieve reels
