The end of February begins the early runs of spring steelhead here in Michigan. So, to prepare, Ive been tying up some size 10 caddis nymphs along with some winter stoneflies. Vermonter sent me some flies to swing and I also tied up some myself. Yesterday I treated myself to a new pair of Korkers (thanks Brett and Sue from the Rangeley Sport Shop) and what I am most excited about is the new Spectrum Max 7wt reel I bought! I’m not sure which rod I will pair it up with as I have an old Sage from my days of chasing steelhead on the Salmon River in NY or the used one I bought from Vermonter last fall. Tough decision, I know. ![]() Nice guest room if anyone want to come visit! Ken |

Dust off a couple Messina's - just for old times sake - they hooked their share of fish in NY! |
