Most of us in Maine have some type of snow scraper and brush combination that we keep in our cars for winter snow cleanup. Usually the plastic scraper end of this device chips or breaks before winter is over. Don't throw the remaining brush away! Keep it to brush off your wader boots in the summer when you get done fishing for the day. Ya, you can bang the boots together and some sand falls off but the brush end of your broken snow scraper does a very nice job of cleaning the sand and other unwanted crap off your wading boots keeping this unwanted debris out of your vehicle. I have one with my fishing stuff in the basement waiting to be put into service in the spring. I have used it for several years now and will probably use it several more. I think they call it "getting your moneys worth".

Good tip.... but if I didn't dredge 20lbs of sand, leaves and muck into the trunk, would my wife still have a reason to deep sigh and roll her eyes? Just trying to keep the world on its appropriate axis.

I found the scraper had broken from one of mine just yesterday. I don't even know how.
