......if anybody has a Sage Method 9’ 6 wt. 4 piece in good shape gathering dust in your rod closet I might be persuaded to take it off your hands, for the right price, of course. PM me if interested.

Trident had them on sale but unfortunately it looks like all the 6s are gone. I picked one up last summer from them and it is a cannon for sure. What a difference between that and my old Bean's Gray Ghost 6-weight.

Good luck.

Steve......

It is an absolute cannon. Not a touch rod, and terrible for in close, but I have Winston’s for 5hat Fishing. They’re all over E Bay for $600, but I really don’t want to drop that much cash for a true specialty rod that I’d only use out of the drift boat on a windy day for something like Hopper/Dropper Fishing. If I could pick one up for give/take $450 I’d be all over it.

Dave, they just put one on Sierra Trading Post but it's a 5 wt. Does have a fighting butt oddly enough. They only have one.

MM.......

YEAH, I saw that. If they had a six weight I’d be all over it. I found one from a shop in Georgia, but it’s at $600........and I didn’t want to pay that much. I already have two very good five weights, so I’ve found Methods all over the place in fours and fives.......but 6’s are very scarce.

Yeah, I already have three 6 weights in the rotation plus a back up. Helios II, Sage XP and an old Tom Morgan made Winston 9'6", plus a Ross Reels 6 wt that I picked up on STP years ago that is an excellent backup/loaner rod. I only fish one 5 weight, a Helios II and that's used exclusively for dries on larger rivers. My main dry fly rod was recommended by you a few years ago, 4wt Winston Boron IIIx.
