Following upon Dave M’s earlier caddis poll topic, there is interest in doing a caddis fly swap. This post will officially serve as the sign up, or folks can send me a PM if they prefer. Anything caddis dry or emerger for this swap.

Whereas caddis are generally easy to tie, and I’m not expecting more than a dozen tyers to participate- I’m thinking of two of each fly per tyer, plus two for an FFIM fundraiser box. Flies will be due by February 28th.

Best,
Hunter

Edited to add- I’ll leave the swap open until January 15th, or a dozen tyers join- whichever comes first.

I'm in. A friend suggested Bob's Caddis would be a good fly for this swap. Sounds like good advice so it's Bob's Caddis for me - Size 14.

I think I'll get started on them at the Tie and Lie on the 5th.

I'm in, and I'll do some Prayers since I've got plenty of wood duck.

Awesome. We have five tyers so far. I'll be tying the Tabou Caddis Emerger.

I'll do a CDC caddis that I was shown in Spain and was very effective. Translated to English it is called "The Green Ass".

I'm in with the Swisher Dancing Caddis, size 14. Long ago I fished Caddis flies successfully in Western Maine and think this pattern will translate.

Welcome to the swap. I'll send out my mailing address once we get a final count of tyers (January 15th) or reach a dozen tyers, whichever comes first. Right now we're at 7 tyers, so still have room for a few more. I finished most of my flies at the T&L last weekend. I know Mike Holt is well on his way also.

I'll join in. Probably a soft hackle or emerger.

If there's room I'll play. Although I'm out of my league with this lineup. I'll figure a fly shortly.

Okay- that makes 12 tyers so the swap is officially closed to new tyers. I will send out mailing info in a few days.

Best,
Hunter
