Same deal, but I was a 6:05 PM United flight that left around 9:30 PM and got in around 11 PM. We left out of terminal B.

I KNEW I should have spent the extra $100 for the United flights! Not so much the extra hour, but the fact that when our flight got in, so many flights had been grounded in Portland that we couldn't pull up to an actual gate, so they brought out the stairs and had us walk across to the terminal in the pouring rain. My raincoat was in the carry-on they made me gate check that didn't catch up to us.

My bags showed up last night about 10 pm with nothing missing. I was really worried about the two fly rods strapped to the backpack I use as a carry-on, but it all got here intact. The Sage XP is irreplacable, and I like it more and more.

Perhaps the finest graphite rods ever made. I had two......sold both......and I kick my ###every day. I buy and sell rods/reels etc. frequently, and usually without a second thought. I DO regret selling one, and giving a friend my other one.

Yup. I had put it away and for the last year or so been using a Scott Radian as my "go-to" 9' 5 weight. And I really like the Scott. But had a nasty windy day when the Scott just felt a little under powered to punch casts into the wind, so switched to the "back-up" XP and remembered how much I love it.

The Scott stayed in the tube the rest of the week. Last night was looking on Ebay, and it looks like getting a used rod as a replacement would cost far more than I originally paid retail. THAT's a sign of a good rod.

Ahh the rain...always good to bring on the mother of all fall hatches...the fishermen hatch.
Enjoy!
