Just saw in the TU magazine that King and Bartlett is for sale. Went there once and it was quite a place. If you have a couple of million hanging around it could be all yours!!

Many old sporting camps have been bought by those with deep pockets and have been upgraded in such lavish style that when they sell they will either sell to the well to do as a private getaway or divided into a condominium complex, such as Camp Phoenix, where individuals own their own cabins and the group owns the property. Many of these camps have been priced out of the reach of the business person who wants to run a sporting camp. Combine this with the waning interest in the the field of outdoor sporting by the younger generation and you have a page turning in the history of Maine sporting camps and the Maine outdoors. " And the times they are a changing"
