Hit a few Maine waters this weekend. One river and a small stream. I thought the river would be jammed, but wasn't. Only a few people around and most of the time I was alone. 1st day one salmon and it was a beauty, then I actually got worn out catching Brookies. Nothing big but 8-12" and very colorful. 2nd day small stream didn't produce any fish, but a beautiful setting and I'll go back to try again. I tried a new fly and it worked very well. A Balloon Caddis floats like a cork and the fish seemed to like it. Although I tried a few things and the fish did seem to hit different things. Went back to 1st river again and I was all alone. Caught enough to let me travel south with a smile. Nothing like fishing in Maine!!

I still can't do the picture thing here. But to be truthful I even have a hard time taking pictures and releasing the fish in a timely manner.
