After a near month long drought that had me questioning my manliness, I was finally able to land some fish in a couple of different places - after a very pleasant visit with Hutch & Gussa at Camp Hutchins on Saturday morning, I headed off to a couple of my favorite Downeast streams - at the first, I was getting bumps and follows but I think a bunch of those might have been some early bird alewives - at the second stream things started clicking - I landed a decent number of brookies and at least a few appeared to be salters - I also landed an Atlantic Salmon parr from this stream which I never knew hosted AS, so that was fun...a flat tire kept me from reaching my third destination, but last nite after leaving camp I returned to the stream where I caught my first brookie about a half century ago and caught a couple more, so hopefully this means my season is on in earnest! Anyone else having any luck? Tight Lines!
