$500.00 closer to the goal now. Any other FFIMers care to match?

Maine Council TU made a donation directly to RLHT, and I think some of the TU Chapters are considering additional gifts. I got a Facebook message this morning that RLHT has raised 43% of what they need. They need to get to 50% ASAP, so any donations people could make this week would be timely.

Hey gang, an update. According to the fundraising page that RLHT has setup -- they are now nearing 60% of the goal, with over $50k raised. Between the $1000 grant from our Grassroots Fund...and the donations from various FFIM members -- we can account for over $5000 of that...impressive! And I'm sure there are more of you that have donated directly to RLHT that we are not aware of.

Fundraising totals:

Donate via FFIM:
https://www.paypal.com/donate/?token=DN ... ocale.x=US

Let's get this done!!!

FFIM did it AGAIN! Connecting Anglers to Communities! Tark is right, FFIM and its members has helped to leverage approximately $5000 toward this effort! As of 11:00PM (Fri), combined efforts have totaled just over $52,000!!!

I'll update you all early next week, upon return to work. THANK YOU ALL for your support. I'm so proud to be part of this community!

Mailbox Pool Acquisition Update:

We now have $58,515.00 (in hand and/or pledged). The real estate appraisal in underway, and the environmental site assessment, title work and land survey has been ordered. Despite two outstanding grants to meet our $88K goal, we're still aiming for a June 15th closing date.

If you're considering supporting this project and have yet to commit, please feel free to contact me directly with any questions.

Again, and as always, Rangeley Lakes Heritage Trust (and of course myself!) appreciate our long-standing camaraderie with FlyfishingInMaine and the entire angling community!

Best,
Shelby

So, now that we’ve chipped in, where the hell is the Mailbox Pool?
Curious for a new fishing spot.
Thanks, Henry.

Henry:

Drive Route 16 from Aziscohos south towards Errol. After you cross the Magalloway and the road to the powerhouse, look for all the cars parked next to a mailbox on your left. (On a busy Saturday, it may be a dozen . . . . ) If there are only 1 or 2, park, walk down to the river, and you'll be at a nice spot for salmon and brook trout. Also have access up and downstream along the bank to a bunch of other good pools, which are usually less crowded.
