Thinking of getting a set up, which brand do you guys use and how do you like it? I'd be using it on everything from small nymphs to big saltwater streamers.

Peter......

I like the thick Loon Outdoors, but even after hitting it with the UV light it’s still tacky. I then hit it with a very thin coat of Sally Hansen’s. Good stuff, but expensive. I think a four ounce container is something like $49.95.

I've tried the Clear Cure Goo Hydro- and didn't like it much. Sure- you get a quick, hard, glossy finish. But there's no penetration of the glue into the thread, etc... And I had issues with it not curing to the thread, so it would chip off periodically. Save you money and just use Hard-As-Hull or similar product IMO.

I have Loon. After 6-7 years both bottles are pretty much still full. I just don't use it much. I've found it gets a milky appearance over time and tends to chip/flake off. I only really use it if I'm tying for someone else or on copper johns or similar patterns. You can try my Loon stuff if you want, before you go out and buy.
