Trying to establish some data on the frequency of pond fishing for trout. If you could also include your age when you vote that would be great.

Age 50, and voted 10+.

I'm guessing me, Ken and the one other person who voted are NOT a representative demographic . . . . .

31 and I voted never fish ponds.

I think I have fished a pond for trout 3 times in my entire life.

That was me.....crap! Got distracted and forgot to post, so here we go:
1-5 X's a year and I'm 60. There.....I said it.
Seems lately it doesn't matter if it's running water or still, it's 1-5 times a year these days! Thought life was supposed to slow down the older you get!

I love pond fishing. It's very relaxing. As I get older (I'm 62) I find it harder and harder keeping my balance on a stream. I have to use my wading staff every time I'm in moving water. For Stillwater I have my canoe that is set up just the way I want. It has extendable pontoons, anchors at each end and now I have a Fishin' Buddy fish finder. This photo doesn't have the anchors. It is a great way to spend a day on the water.

On smaller ponds I prefer my float tube. It's probably my favorite way to fish. And now I have a pontoon attachment for my Fishin' Buddy. Life is good.

Oh yeah, now that I'm retired I hope be on the water a lot more. 5+ times a year. Unfortunately we are moving to Virginia soon so I have been busy working on our house, preparing to sell it.

This is only for the kids to have a place to fish. I don't mind Pond fishing, at times I really enjoy it, but prefer moving water, and dont have any gear or boat for it
