At camp I have some nice old porcelain /enamel coffee pots. The pots get stained by the flame of the gas cook stoves and I can never really clean it off. I can get a lot of it with soap and pad but it leaves a shadow. Any suggestions? Thanks

Soaking in a strong Baking soda and water combo may pull it out.

If the baking soda/water combo doesn't work, try baking soda & vinegar. I clean my thermoses, travel mugs, etc. using this method and they look as good as new. I add about 1/4 cup of baking soda and the same of vinegar. It'll fizz up, but just let it settle and soak overnight.
