This morning, all but one member present of the Legislature's Environment and Natural Resources Committee voted "Ought Not to Pass" on LD 1350, including Tom Saviello, who sponsored the bill. There are a few members who were absent, but it's likely there will end up a 12-1 or 11-2 vote against the bill.

It is not technically impossible for a bill with an 12-1 or 11-2 vote to be resurrected, but very unusual. I'd expect the House and Senate to take it up within the next week or so. If you contacted your legislator about this, it might not hurt to do so again in the next few days. And it never hurts to say thank you!

Of course, there is a big difference between mostly dead and all dead, so don't celebrate yet.
