I'm going to be throwing some big dries this season. Just wondering if anybody uses small barrel swivels to keep the leader from twisting. And if you do what brand is best in your opinion.

I throw some big dries during the drake hatch but I'm always careful to use a leader/tippet that is heavy enough not to twist based on fly size. I couldn't imagine using a swivel with dries, though I do use a micro-swivel when nymphing for steelhead. Google "Raven micro swivel". They're pretty tiny and hold up on some big steelies.

I use 2x or 3x mono tippet for big dries. No need for a swivel. FYI, unless the swivel is made from a material less dense than water, it will sink and screw up your drift.
