Really sorry to see that. Good news can be fixed.

Yes I realize that. But it's that it happened and it shouldn't have. Trying to decide whether to shorten just the mid or the butt, mid, and both tips. Been discussing it with a guy I know. It could be a 3pc 7.33' or a 3pc 7.00' rod.

Bummer! I would just shorten the mid. If you shorten the butt and the tips ,you will change the action of the rod even more.

Orvis Battenkill? Orvis may still have a blank kicking around or make a new section.

Thanks all.

TM, Going to go with mid shortened. It'll be 2" shorter at the most.
AW, It is an Orvis, set of blanks I picked up from Ebay. Seller was not affiliated with Orvis, but had somehow scored a bunch of blanks. I had assembled and/or built everything but blanks and Hardware.
Hunter, thought of that but not sure on impregnation.
Hutch, A momentary lack of judgement. A bonehead maneuver. A dumb ass move!!!! We'll leave it at that.

Ron

PS Have plenty more in my quiver to choose and use. Plus 2 sets of blanks to finish off, and just got a text that another one that I just located is ready to be picked up.
