Next Tuesday, Dan Daly ( the Artist and Illustrator) will be our Special Guest when we gather to tie some variations of Gartside's Sparrow. Dan knew and tied with Jack Gartside in Boston where he spent a chunk of time when the artist was a young buck.

Dan, one heck of a fly fisher and a skilled fly tier, has used variations of this impressionistic pattern (as a nymph, a wet fly and a streamer) to catch everything from Pond Sunfish to Atlantic Salmon. It is one dandy (pun intended) of a Trout Fly. He will bring some original Gartside flies with him and share some good tying techniques with us.

We invite you join us next Tuesday at, and courtesy of, the First Parish Congregational Church in Yarmouth starting promptly at 6:30 pm where Dan will be our Special Guest showing us how to tie The Sparrow and chatting about where to use it.

Gray Ghosts is an Outreach Group of the Sebago Chapter of Trout Unlimited. The group is made up of some ladies, some gentlemen, and a couple of kids who gather to foster the craft of fly tying. For reservations or info write flyrodmcgarry@gmail.com
