I would like to get in on this if it's not too late.
A bead head hare's ear tied "in the round."

Add me, too. I'll do my bead head flashy hare's ear nymph/jig/streamer pond thingy.

It ain't pretty, but you can tie it with cheap materials and it works. Definitely a good trade for one of Dave's Clousers.

I'm not going all out for fancy complicated pretty flies on this one.Quality tied , absolutely.Basic simple patterns work. Period. And yes, Dave's clousers are pretty enticing.

Ok, so that brings us to 8... I'd love to get at least 10 people if not 12, anyone else? I think I'll leave it open till this Friday(2-3). Flies due at my house (I'll PM my address to everyone) the last week of February and I'll get them shipped back out the first week of March.

Peter

Ok! I'll play. Many original patterns all can hold a bait hooked at the nose or fat crawler. Happy trolling. Send me your address. Don't forget to add a buck or two for return postage and toe tags to identify the tier.

All.....

Mine are all done....just waiting for the sixth coat of Sally Hansens to dry. Well....that was a lie. :-(. It's actually two coats of Hard as Hull and then four coats of Sally's over that....for a total of six.

I lose these things by the dozens.....so I might put one coat on the head wraps.....usually I don't even bother with that. I guess I want these to look pretty for you guys. ;-)

Be sure to tie them on with a loop knot.....they work much better being able to drop unhindered by the tippet.

It's taken much longer to put on the head cement coats than it did to actually tie them up.

They'll be in the mail to Peter tomorrow.

Dave M

PS: Peter if we don't get 12 swappers just keep the extras....or donate them to the FFIM Casting for Recovery day.

Peter, I got the first half dozen bead head, flash back pheasant tails (that got Dave M approval at the tie and lie) finished today. PM me your address for drop off.

Ok, I have PM'd everyone with my address, by my count we have 9 total participants as of today. As I mentioned in the PM if you would like to send a dozen I will donate all the extras to CFR. If you could include a recipe for your fly that would be great.

Peter

PS, Cubby, for some reason I can not PM you. You can shoot me an email at peter010786@yahoo.com and I can send you my address that way.

Oddly enough, a crawfish pattern much like that is what I've caught most of my Kennebec carp on. PM me if you want some location/tide info for an area you might not expect...

Just got Dave M's craw fish Clousers... top notch, as expected. We still have 3 spots open if you want to get in on these. I'm already thinking of a few runs for both bass and trout to drift these threw.....

Peter,

If there is room for one more I'll tie up a dozen. Old time soft hackle pattern that works on trout and salmon called the "Zulu".

PM me your address if you have room for me.

Granger is in, that brings us to 10 total people. Looking forward to seeing what everyone tied up.

Peter, would love to see some pics once you have the whole lot in hand.
