You are invited to join us next Tuesday when Craig Uecker treats us to a workshop on Tube Flies. Craig will show how they are tied using a minimal amount of material yet create large profiles in the water. This makes them easy to cast, quick to tie and gives them a ton of life-like movement in the water.

In addition to teaching us how to tie the Hollow Fleye and a Reverse Marabou, Craig will share tips and tactics on what Tube Flies can do for you.You need bring only your usual fly tying vise and tools…for as a courtesy, the folks at HMH Vise (http://hmhvises.com) are going to provide us with tube and shank holding tools for your vise. You will walk away with two neat Tube Flies that you tied and a wealth of new and novel ideas about using them.

Craig is a marvelous Instructor in the outdoor arts. He has been the mainstay of the L L Bean Outdoor Discovery Schools for 19 years, teaches Fly Casting, Wing Shooting, Archery, Outdoor Photography, Fly Fishing, and Fly Tying, is a Certified Fly Casting Instructor and a Registered Professional Maine Guide.

Gray Ghosts is an outreach group of the Sebago Chapter of Trout Unlimited made up of some gentlemen, some ladies, and a couple of kids who enjoy the craft of Fly Tying. We start promptly at 6:30 pm at, and courtesy of, the First Parish Congregational Church in Yarmouth. For reservations or info, write flyrodmcgayy@gmail.com
