Having sorted out the cellar over the last 4 nights (we had to CLEAN the cellar as a tech was coming to change out the old water tank...and we could not allow him to see dirt/dust in a CELLAR!!!!!!!)...I was given free rein (reign?) to hit the E.O. again. Left at 5am as I was a little early last week. Nobody there when I arrived. Snow on the ground when I crossed out of Monson (near where the AT crosses)...enough to track on were I hunting. Most of the snow was gone when I neared the E.O.. No deer. 43 degrees- a warm spell.

Above the bridge...in the "hot" spot- nothing...but then, as the boats arrived- I took a nice brookie on a "Holt fly" (antron streamer)...and the next 4 came to it also. Then a salmon to an egg, then back to the streamer---The water is very low, but the drift boat and rafts were doing well-even VERY well...judged by the hoots coming across the river.

Last fish was dry fly- and the smallest of the day- but good enough.

No fish on the beds that I could see...but such low water---

Hutch
