Before they close for the winter on 12/23, Old Town Canoe will be having a massive sale at the outlet store in Old Town - items will be marked down as much as 50%, then if you bring in an old OTC receipt for anything, they will give you an additional 20% off! Everything will be marked down camping gear, paddles, PFDs, accessories, canoes, etc - their Next canoe which retails for $999 will be selling for $599 - this is a nice little canoe that paddles and handles like a kayak and hauls gear like a canoe - I'll be going back for 1 & 2 man tents and a lifetime supply of butane cooking fuel and who knows what else - if you have any questions you can reach them at 827-1530 - happy shopping if you head that way!

Peasy, sorry it took so long to get back to you, but yes, they do have a good selection of canoes and kayaks - unfortunately, the one canoe that is not available is the most popular model, the Discovery 169, but there are plenty of others - they are already discounted and if you bring an old receipt or buy an accessory first and use that receipt you can get an extra 20% off anything in the store, including canoes and kayaks - the Next canoe is on sale for $599 and with the extra discount you can get it for $480 - that's more than 50% off MSRP! I went in today and got 2 tents and several years worth of butane stove fuel for $75! If you're interested in checking out the bargains, be sure to get there before 5pm on Saturday, when they close for the winter...
BTW, OTC just agreed to donate a Saranac 160 canoe to FFIM for the auction/raffle that will be happening at the showing of the Fly Fishing Film Tour - I'll be picking it up on Saturday - stay tuned!
